MAXIMUM HYDRATION METHOD ! yayaaa! you can now "wash and go with ease"

I tried this method for four consecutive weeks and the result was mind blowing! My curls were more defined, less tight and my hair felt softer...

I always used to wonder why my hair didn't like "wash and go", it never came out right.... either too dry or shrunk. I first read about The Maximum Hydration Method last year on an article online.
You may think you are moisturizing your hair enough, but if you’re using lots of sulfates, “cones” (products that have ingredients ending in -cone) or not applying water-based moisturizers enough, your hair could be thirsty.

Your hair shrinks up more when there' s not enough moisture in it, so when your hair is fully hydrated, the opposite happens.
You’ll also have stronger hair, fewer tangles and your natural pattern will come out.

5 Steps to Max Hydration

step 1 : CLARIFY YOUR HAIR WITH APPLE CIDER VINEGAR OR BAKING SODA
Popularly known as ACV(click here to buy online) This removes product residue from the hair . Be careful with the baking sodas it has relaxing effect ,only a small amount will suffice.

step 2: DEEP CONDITON YOUR HAIR WITH A DEEP CONDITIONER
Now , this is where the actual work begins. As you apply the deep conditioner , ensure to detangle gentle and get the product into every strand! yes every strand......I always part my hair into four places and apply product one piece at a time " I call it the divide and conquer method heheh". Your deep conditioner should be water based so look closely before you buy one. The recommended ones are by kinky curly(follow link to buy online).
I actually mix mine using avocado, shea butter egg and coconut oil.(Video on how to make your own deep conditioner coming soon).Cover your hair with a plastic cap and sit for 30mins or more if you can .

Note: there are several Nigerian organic products you can patronise.

step 3: APPLY BENTONITE CLAY
Mix one cup of Bentonite Clay powder (click link to buy online ) and 2-3 cups of warm water or aloe vera juice. Coat the entire hair in bentonite and detangle strand by strand . This is a very crucial so take your time td detangle .
(Feel free to add a tablespoon of honey and olive oil for extra moisture.)  The consistency should be slightly thinner than yogurt. Add more clay or water/aloe vera juice as needed.(I actually cover my hair in a plastic cap and sit for about 30 more mins before rinsing out the bentonite clay, I love cooling effect of the clay......this is just my personal added routine o!).

step 4: APPLY A SILICON FREE LEAVE IN CONDITIONER
While your hair is soaking wet (and I do mean dripping wet), apply a silicon-free conditioner one section at a time.

step 5 : APPLY A SILICON BASED GEL
Immediately apply a botanical gel on soaking wet hair.  I tried forever living gel and it was good , you could try it too. Do NOT use gel with protein like Eco Styler. It should be a botanical gel. You can also use flaxseed gel. A good recommendation is kinky curly botanical gel.

The wetter your hair is when applying, the better the product will dissolve and not leave that residue.
I would NOT recommend waiting until you are out of the shower.  Apply the gel IMMEDIATELY.

For best results ,you’re really supposed to do this for 7 days in a row the very first time you do it
The idea is to get your hair to its maximum hydration level.
After it reaches that, you can do it every few days.

Yours royalnappiness...
